Wildboy! Clothing is a New York based clothing line built on the union of design and social responsibility. Originating as a simple set of vector graphics used for conservation fundraising efforts, Wildboy! Clothing grew into its own brand. Ultimately, our mission is to use fashion as a way to bring art and humanitarianism to the forefront of urban sub-cultures.
The Wildboy! Clothing Art and Design Department, uses the knowledge and adoration for illustration and typography in order to create a master blend of visual satisfaction and stimulation. In addition to designing, the artists work to solidify their bond with art as well as fashion to curate/participate in art exhibitions from Long Island, New York to San Diego, California.
In the fall of 2006, the first run of shirts was printed. The shirt was comprised of a Baby Orangutan face in front, and the “Wildboy!” signature in the back under the collar. The simple yet authentic style was very desirable and quickly sold. Subsequently, new color concepts, the titling of the “Classic T”, and new designs were developed.
During the initial stages of company development, a deep rooted fascination with animal conservation directed our attention toward ape conservation, specifically the Orangutan. Currently, our logo is the face of a Baby Orangutan. After a group of friends adopted an Orangutan for us in 2009, we decided to send a box of our shirts to their annual 5K Run for Survival. In 2010, we hosted our first fundraiser and donated all proceeds to the OFI (Orangutan Foundation International). We have since maintained the relationship and hope to work on larger scale with them as well as other humanitarian organizations.
